These terms apply to the CamScan app and the getcamscan.com website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them.

The Service

CamScan lets you scan documents with your camera, edit them, recognize their text, and share them. With an account, your documents are backed up to the cloud and available on the website.

Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account.
• You provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account tab, “Delete My Account”).

Your documents

• Your documents belong to you. You give us only the permission needed to store, process, and display them in order to provide the Service to you.
• You agree to scan and store only documents you have the right to use, and no illegal content.
• Keep a copy of important documents: no service is completely immune to outages or data loss.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service: no attempts to access other users’ data, disrupt or overload the Service, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable but cannot guarantee it will always be. It may be interrupted for maintenance and may change over time (features added, modified, or removed).

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Text recognition and automatic titles may contain errors: check important information.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account used in violation of these terms or the law, after notifying you unless urgent action is needed. You may stop using the Service at any time.

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

App Store

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its support.

Changes to these terms and applicable law

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on this page, and we will notify you of significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the publisher of CamScan is established, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live.
